Entry Number 015: Padding around Thailand for Pad Thai

A visit of any backpacking pupper in Bangkok should include a trip along Khao San Road. But along this side of the city, you must have a take on a serving of an authentic, street served piping hot Pad Thai!

Pad thai is a stir-fried dish with soaked dried rice noodles, which are served with with eggs and chopped firm tofu, and is flavored with tamarind pulp, fish sauce, dried shrimp, garlic or shallots, red chili pepper and palm sugar and served with lime wedges and often chopped roasted peanuts. It is topped by shrimp, chicken, crab meat or squid.

I swear this is so yummy! Served hot and ready for nomnom time is the best!

Along Khao San or within China Town in Bangkok, there are many eatery who serve this dish for only 80-150Baht. There are more fancy version in hotels and restaurants but hey… where is the fun in that?

Have you tried eating one of these??
